Crazy Dog Farm - Where your food is homegrown the natural way!
CDF is a 5 acre farm in Crofton, BC, and is dedicated to growing and raising food as sustainably and naturally as possible. We grow many different vegetables, fruits, herbs and berries, as well as pasture raised chickens, turkeys, Muscovy ducks and Boer goats.
Veggies - CDF concentrates on using permaculture techniques, with the belief that if you have healthy soil, you have healthy plants and food. We use well composted manure from our own chickens, ducks and goats to build up the soil. Also used is a nettle tea, and EM (effective microorganisms) which help to create a healthy soil food web.
Poultry - all poultry is pasture raised, which means they have access to fresh, green grass, weeds and bugs every day, all day. They are supplemented with Heritage feed from our local Top Shelf feeds in Duncan. They are happy chickens, turkeys and ducks! When you come to visit the farmstand, you can watch the poultry and goats foraging and playing in the front pasture.
